Location was excellent, trains to other cities, buses to the airport...., many shopping places.
Window frame was not clean. Espcially lots of dusts in between double windows.

Beautiful old and well priced hotel located in a shopping area just next door to central railway station and several shopping malls like Stockmann. Brand-new and silent units with a bathtub...

Excellent location right next to the central railway station, very good price and high quality. Really liked the old building, which is nicely renovated yet still keeping the old atmosphere. Highly recommended!

I would come here again, really enjoyed it. It's a nicely decorated classy hotel nestled in an art deco style building. The breakfast is delicious and comprehensive. The location is unbeatable right by the train station and the bus station, restaurants, transport, and the downtown. Great value, you're getting good service.

1.The proximity to the railway station and the Airport bus as we were arriving by train the night before and leaving early in the morning the next day for the airport. 2.The Esplanade cafes and restaurants are close by and that is where our friends and family in Helsinki come to meet us before we head out of our yearly summer vacation in Finland. 3. Seurahuone athmosphere is intense, you can almost hear the voices of the guests from the heydays of the place. The old architecture is very charming.
!. The tobacco smell in the beautiful ballroom where the breakfast was ! being served. Please, get rid of it! It was very disturbing and ! affected the enjoyment of the breakfast experience. 2. Keep up the ! upkeep of the hotel; repair floor and elevator door lists for ! instance; remove all boxes and other unnecessary "stuff" from the ! Reception desk (behind the guest counter). Tidying it all up would ! really improve the first impression of the hotel upon guest arrival.

This hotel is perfect for exploring the city! It is located just opposite the train station and has a tram stop right in front. We could easily walk to all the tourist attractions and shopping malls, making it very convenient for us. The breakfast provided everything we needed and expected, ensuring a great start to our day. The staff was extremely helpful and the service, room service, housekeeping, and room amenities were all top-notch. We also appreciated the free Wi-Fi in the rooms and the flat-screen TV.
We had to wait in line for half an hour to check-in, which was a bit inconvenient. However, this place is recommended to everyone for its luxurious and comfortable experience.

Great hotel, long history, good location, nice environment, and also good breakfast...
Unfortunately, the wireless did not work well in the room on ipad, otherwise it would even be perfect..

We were leaving Helsinki by train, so the location was great as it is just across the street from the Train Station. We booked the Club room and it was good. I might say that the hotel is a bit unique as it is an old hotel and differs in style from the standard Finnish-Swedish type chain hotels, athough it is still pretty simple. The service was good. The Club room had everything necessary inluding complementary bottles of water, bath robes and slippers. We liked that it was possible to make coffee/tea in the room. The breakfast was OK.
I noticed some problems with air conditioner. I would not choose this hotel if I need to travel in summer.
